My most recent disaster drawing, graphite on paper, 59x84cm. Part of a series exploring dream-like, fictitious landscapes of disaster and chaos. I want them to feel illogical and operatic. I thought a lot about early renaissance Babel paintings when I drew this and wanted there to be a sense of tumbling, growing surging movement. The wreckage loosing its use and looming precariously while relics of our presence act as ghosts.
