'Degenerate' was a series of 20 5x5inch paintings, acrylic on canvas. The work explores beautiful decaying objects of curiosity, documented in detail next to bodies often judged in moral terms. Both are precious and the scale of the work should draw the gaze closer. I wanted the viewer to be aware of their role as voyeur.
